Keep using windows 7 with latest service pack and similar tweaks above till windows 10 is fixed Disable superfetch if u have ssd ( in windows 10 and 8, windows does it automatically) Download health check programs such as memtest, cputest, 3d mark to see if your hardware is working fine. For nvidia users, for global settings choose single monitor performance, for the power management choose max performance for texture quality choose max performance and for v-sync choose adaptive. Disable steam-overlay and steam-cloud for this game Right click taskbar click task manager and go to startup and disable many unneeded programs there. There are tons of unnecessary services so google them.

Disable unnecessary services such as sync driver and onenote sync driver. Disable “Get to know me” in windows 10 so click “stop getting to know me” ( google) Disable cortona in windows 10 ( google ) That tool can not completely disable telemetry so google for it Download windows tweaker tool 4 and disable everything under privacy and turn off track user data. Important point is their situation must be same in bios and windows. Many argue disabling hpet increases performance some otherwise. To enable it in windows right click cmd as admin bcdedit /set useplatformclock true, to disable it bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock ( if disabling gives error, it means it was never enabled in first place so it is fine ). Disable HPET(both in windows and bios) or Enable both of them. Disable intel thermal monitor and c1e in bios ( if u trust your fans!! dont do otherwise) Disable EIST ( intel speedstep technology) in bios I was able to reduce my stutter and freezes to minimum extent by doing these ( I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR WRONG TWEAKS OR SYSTEM CORRUPTIONS(which is not expected if everything is done correctly), however i was able to decrease ram usage to 880 mb ram of windows by doing some stuff below.)

I will write my ultimate verdict on this topic below Įven this game is not well optimized, stutter and freeze issues probably are caused by win 10 au update and graphic card drivers.

I think the points above must be considered for future updates because now we have mods and they are not well optimized most of the time, fps drops will be more… Most fps decreaser spells are aethor mobs (probably that aether greenish smokish things) cthonian spells( bloodish red smoke/fire) and auras(but not all auras, auras like use smoke effects), Meteors do not decrease that much which is good for “meteor shower” user characters(thank God =)) ), warlock’s purplish explosions… I can’t remember more I realize it is done like that to prevent lag when we close or open it ( fast switch) but still why the heck does it drop fps much? When inventory interface open 5-10 fps drop is observed. It draws both and then decreases transparecy of blocked one. When you play “max zoomed out” or “medium zoom”, there is no fps or gpu usage change for both scenario which clearly indicates it always draws for max distance.ī_Also when your vision is blocked such as overbridge or city textures, it draws both. Thus when you go under something and it becomes semi-transparent, fps drops more than it should. a_Game draws out of screen visuals too. This is not valid only for enemies also for trees or terrain as well. Thus instead of redrawing every of them, use them from memory. In crowded areas, some enemies are duplicated which means “duplicated models and textures”. What you can do is, when you start your path finding algorithm, you can use that path for other mobs too so you don’t have recalculate it again and again. So i think one optimization can be done at that point(path finding).

But the problem is, when they( i mean all) try to “find path” to attack you, fps drops more than it should. In crowded areas, as in many games fps drops. MSI 6 gb GTX 1060 (%10 overclocked but tried with not overclocking too) Before my observations you can find my spec below So i tried to analyze exactly when fps drops and here are my results ( or where you should optimize). As you know, even with high end rig you can fps drops to even 30 in max settings.
